A MIGHTY WIND

Ironically I watched the movie Sunday afternoon. Then Sunday night a mighty wind blew right up the side of a skyscraper in downtown Indianapolis. As the wind travelled up the side of the building it gained speed up to aproximately 120 miles an hour. It reached nearly the top and burst through the windows of several floors, gushed through and came out the other side. There was an attorney working late that night and he felt the swaying and heard the crashing. He ran down the 32 flights of stairs from his office to the lobby.

In the aftermath, the debris scattered across several blocks in all directions of downtown Indianapolis. This resulted in street closings, which then caused many people being late for work.

Some debris smashed in the the Indianapolis Star building which is right next door. The ceiling was broken out in some of the upper executive offices in that building.

Now it's Wednesday. There are still streets closed around that building. It's precautionary in case something falls off the building. The cleanup has begun however.

It's just wild, the force of the wind. I just can't help looking up and thinking, the wind did that.
