Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone had a Happy and safe Christmas Holiday, and do as well for New Years!

So it's time now for the obligatory, where I am now vs. where I was at this time last year post. I usually do this around my birthday but I put it off a lot.

So,......let's see......yeah....hmmmm....It's been just any old year. Or as I've said many times this past year has sucked hard. So this next years gotta be awesome. Hopefully we won't have so many injuries in the coming year with the sprains and strains and cracks and stuff.

Where I am now, versus where I was. I'm still in debt but not as much debt. I have paid off two credit cards now and am current on the rest of my credit cards and car loan. So that's good. I'm getting it under control. Hopefully soon I will have my head above water and will be able to breathe again.

I guess I'm not exactly doing anything meaningful with my life. I have a job and debt so I guess I'm about where a lot of Americans are. But I do have a plan. Not so much for the debt but for the meaningful part.

It started when my sister and I were watching a certain Zombie movie called "Zombie Night." We were talking about all the zombie movies I have found out there or we collectively found that are independant (some not, I'm talking about you Dawn of the Dead remake) and bad. A lot of them come from really good story ideas but fall prey to scriptwriting, acting, and directing. People, you don't need a lot of money to make a good movie. You just need talented people involved that know what they are doing. Like, why must zombies be fast? Why do they have to explain why the zombies are there? These segments of the movie are often pointless and boring. See in "Day of the Dead 2: Contagium" where there was this bizarre crystal alien thing. I thought that was so ridiculous, pointless, and it didn't make sense.

We had the idea that we could make one and do it better. My idea is we should set it after "Day of the Dead." Kind of about the time of "Land of the Dead." In an urban setting. I got the idea one day when I was walking in the tunnels between the Government Center and Circle Centre Mall in Downtown Indianapolis that this would be a good place to hide out if you could find a place with tunnels underground and provided you could block the entrances somehow. That's the idea kind of. My youngest sister was going to work on the story a bit but school has really kept her busy. However I suspect that her online roleplaying has a lot to do with it as well. She says she's still trying to decide on characters at this stage.

If anyone out there has any ideas, or wants to help I'd be willing to listen, just let me know. My boyfriend says there is no way I can do this and do this well so I'd really like to prove him wrong.
